BMW AG Statistics: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft, along with its subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, and markets automobiles, motorcycles, spare parts, and accessories worldwide. The company operates through Automotive, Motorcycles, and Financial Services segments. The automotive segment of the company develops, manufactures, assembles, and sells automobiles and off-road vehicles under the BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce brands, spare parts, and accessories, as well as offers mobility services.

Through this segment, the company sells its products through independent and authorized dealerships. Its motorcycles segment develops, manufactures, assembles, and sells motorcycles under the BMW Motorrad brand; and spare parts and accessories. The financial services segment is engaged in automobile leasing, fleet and multi-brand business, retail and dealership financing, customer deposit business, and insurance activities. The company has a strategic collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc to develop electric drive systems. BMW produces motor vehicles in Germany, Brazil, China, India, South Africa, the UK, and the US.

BMW:

BMW creates driving pleasure from the perfect combination of dynamic, sporty performance, ground-breaking innovations, and futuristic design. The software in modern luxuries, such as the BMW 7 Series, has more number of lines of software code than a fighter jet. The BMW Vision M NEXT is the latest vision vehicle by BMW, and a study of this design offers a glimpse into the future. The core BMW brand caters to a very broad array of customer requirements, ranging from fuel-efficient and innovative models fitted with Efficient Dynamics to outstanding high-performance BMW M vehicles. A wide range of plug-in hybrid vehicles is available, and being continuously expanded. MINI:

MINI blends creativity with cleverness, offering an open platform for people, design, and vibrant urban life. The brand’s unconventional approaches traditionally attracted people with a high level of individuality and creativity. As a result of that approach, the company appears to constantly evolve with its customers. The MINI brand is an icon in the premium small car segment. Rolls-Royce is the ultimate marque in the ultra-luxury segment with a tradition stretching back over a century. Rolls-Royce:

The most exclusive luxury automobile manufacturer in the world, Rolls-Royce is renowned for its supreme quality, exquisite handcraftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail. The Rolls-Royce Phantom’s unique Starlight Headliner consists of 1,440 fiber optics, drilled and placed by hand, which can even be tailored to suit a customer’s specific request such as the star constellation on the night they were born. Motorcycles:

The Motorcycle business is also clearly focused on the premium segment. The model range currently comprises motorcycles for the Sport, Tour, Roadster, Heritage, Adventure, and Urban Mobility (with scooter models) segments. BMW Motorrad also offers a broad range of equipment options to enhance rider safety and comfort. The motorcycles business sales network is organized similarly to that of the automobile business. Currently, BMW motorcycles are sold by more than 1,200 dealerships and importers in over 90 countries.

Financial Services:

The BMW Group is also a leading provider of financial services in the automobile sector, operating more than 50 entities and cooperation arrangements with local financial services providers and importers worldwide. The segment’s main business is credit financing and the leasing of BMW Group brand cars and motorcycles to retail customers. Customers can also choose from an attractive array of insurance and banking products. Operating under the brand name Alphabet, the BMW Group’s international multi-brand fleet business provides financing and widespread management services for corporate car fleets in 19 countries. In addition, international customers are serviced by Alphabet cooperation partners in other countries. Through its multi-brand business Alphera, the BMW Group provides credit financing, leasing, and other services to retail customers.

BMW Welt:

BMW Welt is located near the main BMW factory, the company’s headquarters in the legendary BMW Tower, and the BMW Museum. Welt was established in 1973 and is a combined exhibition, delivery, adventure, museum, and event venue, that showcases an automobile museum of BMW history. The museum was established shortly after the Summer Olympics opened Experience the history of a global brand. The spectacular open architecture of BMW Welt, designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, instantly draws in visitors. BMW i

BMW I sub-brand of BMW to design plug-in electric vehicles combining electric drives, innovative materials, and technologies in innovative concepts for the future. Electric vehicles lead the way in alternative drive trains and lightweight construction. The advanced shapes and forms combine recycled and renewable materials in an attractive design. BMW I has some features namely electromobility, autonomous driving, high-end connectivity, and digital services combined. The BMW I offers not only trendsetting vehicle concepts but also connected mobility services and a new understanding of premium, which is determined in particular by sustainability.

BMW i is our incubator for visionary mobility: It’s where the major future technologies come together for the first time. In addition to electromobility, autonomous driving, high-end connectivity, and digital services are combined in BMW I to show how we’ll be traveling in the future before these technologies are implemented in the other BMW Group brands.

BMW M

BMW M is a Part of an outstanding motorsports heritage and stands for high performance out of passion. Power and strength are also seen with the principle of Efficient Dynamics at a very high level. The year 2018 was very successful in the history of BMW M GmbH. The main contributors to BMW M deliveries in the high-performance segment, apart from the M2, were once again the BMW M3 and M4 models as well as the new BMW M5. Besides the M vehicles, BMW M GmbH also offers special driving safety training courses under the brand name BMW Driving Experience.

  • Automatic Car Parking:

In automated car parking in the multi-story car park, four laser scanners scan all the areas around the vehicle and generate an accurate image of the surroundings. The fully automated remote valet parking assistant links this information with a digital plan of the car park and is then able to use this data to navigate and operate the BMW i3- independently, dynamically, and safely.

  • Virtual Innovation Agency:

BMW Group is continuously looking for and exploring unusual innovations on the subject “mobile future”. The focuses not only on its own research and development departments but also on creative minds outside the BMW Group.

BMW Group maintains its innovative drive and technological leadership over the long term, and to achieve this objective, is constantly looking for new and unconventional ideas for every aspect of future mobility.

The steering wheel and displays in the driver’s area, there are no other screens or controls to be seen in the BMW Vision iNEXT in order to preserve the comfortable character of the rear compartment, and therefore keep the people on board at center stage, the intelligent technology is integrated out of sight.

1916–1923: Aircraft engine production
