Bing is a web search engine owned and operated by Microsoft. The service has its origins in previous Microsoft search engines: MSN Search, Windows Live Search, and later Live Search. Microsoft Corporation developed it using ASP.NET. The company previously launched MSN Search and Windows Live Search. Bing was launched as a replacement for Live Search in mid-2009 in San Diego, California, US. Bing Search Engine is available in forty languages globally and includes a left-hand navigation bar, which is a feature that allows users to preview web pages before visiting them. It also has a feature that categorizes searches and search results based on topics. Subdivision categories of Bing include maps, health, web, and images. In the case of any type of query, Bing creates search categories dynamically. Bing ads are designed for delivering online advertisements to global audiences.
